God hurts those....

A.W. Tozer wrote "It is doubtful whether God can bless a man greatly until He has hurt him deeply. " The Root of the Righteous. How can this be true well read on.

Right now some one is being tortured, imprisoned or killed for there profession of the name Jesus Christ, In China , North Korea , The Middle East , India and other Asian nations martyrdom a way of life. We are blessed in the western world to rarely experience this form of martyrdom.  We man lose friends , family or jobs because of our faith and profession of Jesus Christ but not the greater evils . This something bible was honest  about -- John 15:18-21 "If the world hates you, understand that it hated Me first. 19If you were of the world, it would love you as its own. Instead, the world hates you, because you are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. 20 Remember the word that I spoke to you: ‘No servant is greater than his master. If they persecuted Me, they will persecute you as well......" We may not like it but God allows martyrdom.

The bible also says he chastises his children Revelation 3:19 "As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent."  He allows testing to try our faith 1 Peter 4:12 "Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you; "NKJ. In all this God will allow you to be hurt; when and where only God knows but the words of  A.W. Tozer are proven true.

Need an example just think of Joseph who was hurt deeply. He was betrayed by his brothers, enslaved and then framed for a crime and cast in prison. He was hurt all so he could be in Egypt to save the Jewish people . We may not like it but God is sovereign and allowing a thing, is to the one being hurt, almost the same and as doing the hurting.  Most Western churches love the idea of God's blessing and some are followers of  the prosperity Gospel.  There is place for those blessing  but there is also a place for God to use "hurting " to accomplish his will.
