    Have you ever seen a miracle? How many people would say that they have seen a miracle? Well, most people would say, "No, I have not seen one," and this makes things problematic when talking about God, Jesus, and the Holy Scriptures. Why? Because the Bible is filled with, well, miracles. People, therefore, say, "Well, I have never seen a miracle. They are not part of normal life or a daily part of reality." So, they dismiss miracles and also the Bible and God.    The reality is that this is a very Western and modern viewpoint. Most societies and people throughout history believe and have believed in miracles, spirits, gods, the afterlife, God, and, of course, miracles. Read the Bible. It is about most nations, even Israel, rejecting the "true God," Jehovah, the Creator of all reality and the universe.   Another Mother's day is about to arrive. In the past, this day held far more importance to me because it was a chance to celebrate and show my love and appreciation to my mother, Grandmother and aunts. The females who help influence my life in so many positive ways. This year I had  no idea the day was so close until a friend sent a text of a Mothers day gift to their mother.  I loss my mother to a nasty fatal disease which stole years and possibly decades of time from us. The day is bitter sweet filled with memories and the hope that in Christ we shall meet again. No more flowers, chocolates,or gifts to buy.  I know many other who have also loss their parents. They faced that loss at different ages from teen to elderly. For most Mother's day and Father's day,like other holidays on the calendar, are a remainder that eternity is very close.    Isolation and uncertainty about safety, finances and the future are on the minds of most people in the world today. This is especially true in those countries hardest hit by the pandemic. The problems are here and they are real.  Is there a word from the LORD GOD?  Psalm 40 verse 1 and 2 contain words written by King David but inspired by GOD's Holy Spirt. 1 I waited patiently for the LORD; he turned to me and heard my cry. 2 He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. The king words written as a song says that problems and trouble had come and did not leave quickly. David had to WAIT but with a certain disposition. He had to have patience for GOD to do his work. Notice time passes while David waits crying out to GOD;  first GOD hears  him then as he continues to cry out GOD turns. GOD then lifts him and lastly places him in a safer more stable place.
