Scripture Theme: Romans 2:1-16      Increasingly many people feel they have a right to judge others taking the place of God; Not knowing that they have to give an account to the true Judge when he comes into his glory.  The Christian is commanded to show the love of Christ to everyone.  3 things will happen if the Christian develops a judgmental attitude:    1. A Prideful Heart       We must realize that our judgement is limited and we cannot know the heart. (1 Samuel 6:7; Luke 6:41) We must remember our Lord is the only Lawgiver (James 2:13)  2. A Unforgiving Spirit       Having unforgiveness in our heart will short-circuit God’s love to others needing mercy and prevent them from receiving his rewards. (Matthew 7:12; Matthew 6:20)     The cure for unforgiveness is replacing it with a merciful heart that Jesus showed to everyone he encountered. (John 8:1-11)  3. A Distrustful Heart  ...

Begin this year with the end in mind and you hope to accomplish.  Press on do not quit 'praise god for power to persevere-  continue in a course of action even in the face of difficulty or with little or no prospect of success.
