What a judgmental attitude reveals

Scripture Theme: Romans 2:1-16


     Increasingly many people feel they have a right to judge others taking the place of God; Not knowing that they have to give an account to the true Judge when he comes into his glory. 

The Christian is commanded to show the love of Christ to everyone.  3 things will happen if the Christian develops a judgmental attitude: 

 

1. A Prideful Heart 

     We must realize that our judgement is limited and we cannot know the heart. (1 Samuel 6:7; Luke 6:41) We must remember our Lord is the only Lawgiver (James 2:13) 

2. A Unforgiving Spirit 

     Having unforgiveness in our heart will short-circuit God’s love to others needing mercy and prevent them from receiving his rewards. (Matthew 7:12; Matthew 6:20)

    The cure for unforgiveness is replacing it with a merciful heart that Jesus showed to everyone he encountered. (John 8:1-11) 

3. A Distrustful Heart 

     Showing distrust of others reveals that we don’t believe our Lord is trustworthy but we must understand that he is a Spirit that only deals in truth (John 4:24)  Our Lord wants us to fully place our trust in him because he will do as he said since his word is true (Psalm 139)

  Dear loved and valued one,      I writing this to you in the precious name of Jesus Christ. Jesus who I believe is the blessed Savoir and Son of God. Christmas ?

                                                                   Christmas?   Christmas, Easter the Sabbath day bring disputes over whether they are PAGAN or is it the right day. So earlier in the last few weeks I overheard a conversation between a sister in Christ when she tried to witness to a person. As she was witnessing he asked her "but what about the Sabbath when do you worship" and she admitted on Sunday. The person then said "what about Christmas do you celebrate" and she said "yes" and he immediately began to talk about the fact that sunday was not the sabbath and Christmas is pagan day and we do not know when Jesus was actually born. The message of the Gospel could have been sidetracked as she tried to defend celebrating Christmas and Sundays.
