Finding your Spritiual Gift

Finding your Spiritual Gift  Romans 12:3-8  Once we are born again into the Body of Christ God the Father will give us spiritual gifts in order to fulfill his will on earth.  There are four things we need to do when finding what gifts the Lord bestowed on us.  1. Evaluate (Romans 12:3)  We must examine ourselves before God in order for him to show what gifts he has bestowed based on the measure of faith gained in our Christian walk. Being prideful will short circuit our usefulness in the service of our Lord to advance his kingdom.  2. Appreciate (Romans 12:4-5)  Each Gift given by our Lord should never be considered as less important. There should be no division among believers since the gifts given are from Christ who is Head of the Church which he bought by the shedding of his blood on the cross.  3. Investigate (Romans 12:6-8)  We have to know how to use the gifts God gave us in a proper manner and not in a way that would bring attention to ourselves.   They are be used to edify, ex

Have you left your first love

2 short sermon synopsis.                                                                          Have you left your first love  1. Evangelist Focht on  Colossians  2:6 New King James Version " As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him" Salvation is a simple and free gift. A Christian’s walk in Jesus is a relationship not just a religion.  Walk out of love. Do not lose Jesus in the system. Systems can be religious. political, or social. They are a physical way to do the work of God but they do not Redeem.  2. Evangelist Focht on Revelation chapter 2  “2. I know your works, your labor, your [b]patience, and that you cannot ]bear those who are evil. And you have tested those who say they are apostles and are not, and have found them liars; 3 and you have persevered and have patience, and have labored for My name’s sake and have not become weary. 4 Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love.5 Remember therefore from w

How to know God always keeps his promises

Redeeming Grace Bible Study  May, 2021 Part I : his continued love for the nation of Israel  Scripture Reference: Romans 11:1-24     Paul states that even though Israel rejected Jesus as their King and were set aside for the sake of the Gentiles, he has not forsaken them as some would indicate.  There are two proofs that God continues to love his people Israel:   Proof # 1 : Israel always has a believing remnant (11:1-10)    The Jewish followers of Christ are a result of God’s loving grace and mercy which shows that coming to know Jesus is not according to works as promoted by those who continue performing works based on traditions that were made obsolete by his sacrifice on the Cross.  Proof # 2 : Israel’s rejection of the Gospel is temporary (11:11-24)   The Time will come when the Church that is currently the instrument God uses to spread the Gospel will be finished. He will then turn his attention to Israel and bring them to salvation during

MOTHERS'S DAY

Another Mother's day is about to arrive. In the past, this day held far more importance to me because it was a chance to celebrate and show my love and appreciation to my mother, Grandmother and aunts. The females who help influence my life in so many positive ways. This year I had  no idea the day was so close until a friend sent a text of a Mothers day gift to their mother.  I loss my mother to a nasty fatal disease which stole years and possibly decades of time from us. The day is bitter sweet filled with memories and the hope that in Christ we shall meet again. No more flowers, chocolates,or gifts to buy.  I know many other who have also loss their parents. They faced that loss at different ages from teen to elderly. For most Mother's day and Father's day, like other holidays on the calendar, are a remainder that eternity is very close. As said in Psalm 39:4-5 “Lord, make me to know my end, And what is the measure of my days, That I may know how frail I am. 5 Indeed,
