How to know God always keeps his promises

Redeeming Grace Bible Study  May, 2021

Part I: his continued love for the nation of Israel

Scripture Reference: Romans 11:1-24

Paul states that even though Israel rejected Jesus as their King and were set aside for the sake of the Gentiles, he has not forsaken them as some would indicate.

There are two proofs that God continues to love his people Israel:

Proof # 1: Israel always has a believing remnant (11:1-10)

The Jewish followers of Christ are a result of God’s loving grace and mercy which shows that coming to know Jesus is not according to works as promoted by those who continue performing works based on traditions that were made obsolete by his sacrifice on the Cross.

Proof # 2: Israel’s rejection of the Gospel is temporary (11:11-24)

The Time will come when the Church that is currently the instrument God uses to spread the Gospel will be finished. He will then turn his attention to Israel and bring them to salvation during the Great Tribulation uniting it with the Church that will come with Christ in his Second Coming.

We are commanded by God to pray for and love Israel since they are still God’s Chosen people who will eventually come to know Jesus as Lord and Savior.
