  The word addiction has a negative meaning, in our world. When most people think of the word we think of the use of drugs, alcohol, gambling, overeating and  sex taken to extremes that damage and destroy. There are numerous support groups that cater to every type of addiction. The most famous AA is  for drugs and alcohol now just called substance abuse. However, their are other types of addictions that can be healthy exercise for example. These "healthy" type of addictions only become a problem when taken to extremes. The word addiction is defined as " a strong inclination to do, use, or indulge in something repeatedly"  *3 (merriam-webster.com). It is something that becomes the focus and motivation of your life.  Many ministers and evangelists ask the question what do you spend most of your time thinking about working for and doing.  They then explain that this shows what you really "love"..

    Carman in this song calls on Christians to make Jesus the center of life, Become addicted, In Matthew 22:37 Jesus answering a question  what is the greatest commandments said ... , “‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ God is to be the object of all devotion ALL leaves no room for anything else. Jesus point of course was God first then all the rest becasue he adds love other as you love yourself Matthew 22:36-40. Things and actions are no where on the list. How can we be sure of the actual order of "LOVE" ?  Jesus also says in Luke 14:26 “If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple." We see this truth acted out in families that reject Jesus and their own family members who have taken Jesus Christ as Savior. In many nations it can mean death, or like most just a lost of all family connections.  Jesus is not saying to "hate anyone but to love God beyond even our family, nation, job and even ourself. 

   The Song also contains the truth of gospel in the lines: "it's about being born again He paid your price, sacrifice, the cross of Calvary It's done, be one and you can be free" "and  To Christ who paid the price Died on the cross as a sacrifice for our sin" 

   Last, it also contains praises to God!  It is call for have a "strong inclination" for Jesus over things and people of this world that can compete for the love, time and dedication of every Christian.. My opinion is that the song is biblical and enjoyable;  So as Carman and DC Talk  say in the video - Get Addicted to Jesus and Praise him!
