Never to late

                                                                      Never to late.

There is and saying in English "‘You Can't Teach an Old Dog New Tricks"  it is  idiom that means it is almsot impossible to get a person set in thier ways due to age, experience, or teaching  change is resisted. The older a person becomes from child to 100  their perception of the world , ideas, prejudices and patterns becomes set and harder to alter. Age is not the only factor experience can be a factor. Sports stars  in thier 30's are "old"  and many find it hard or some impossible to learn different ways to train or play there sport because of a thousand times thy have performed the same actions one way from childhood. How to swing a bat or gold club, how to throw kick or shoot a ball or puck.  The idea is reflected is  similar saying  like " I am to old to change"   or "I am stuck in my ways"

The truth us that you may be on the wrong road one filled with sin, unbelief , or belief in another religion that denies salvation in and through Jesus Christ.  God's holy spirit is calling you in your heart and mind ,  You may be desperately suppressing the soft call of God . A call you heard from tracks , sermons, friends, parents  family and even nature. Try "Jesus learn a new way a new trick" is the call

Paul a Pharisee, educated and set in his way and determined to not only supress the call by Jesus on his spirit.  He was also determined to kill and suppress the Gospel in others. On his way determined to stop the gospel and suppress it by force. He was stopped by God and despite his education, life style, prior commitments and rabid passion to his " religious views "  he choose truth over family and religion. He was set in his "old ways and ticks " but he changed his ways.. Paul describes the "turn from old tricks to new " in  Acts 26:9 “Indeed, I myself thought I must do many things contrary to the name of Jesus of Nazareth. 10 This I also did in Jerusalem, and many of the saints I shut up in prison, having received authority from the chief priests; and when they were put to death, I cast my vote against them. 11And I punished them often in every synagogue and compelled them to blaspheme; and being exceedingly enraged against them, I persecuted them even to foreign cities.12 “While thus occupied, as I journeyed to Damascus with authority and commission from the chief priests, 13 at midday, O king, along the road I saw a light from heaven, brighter than the sun, shining around me and those who journeyed with me. 14 And when we all had fallen to the ground, I heard a voice speaking to me and saying in the Hebrew language, ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me? It is hard for you to kick against the goads.’ 15 So I said, ‘Who are You, Lord?’ And He said, ‘I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. 16 But rise and stand on your feet; for I have appeared to you for this purpose, to make you a minister and a witness both of the things which you have seen and of the things which I will yet reveal to you. 17 I will deliver you from the Jewish people, as well as from the Gentiles, to whom I now send you, 18to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me. ...... 28. Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian. 29“Short time or long,” Paul replied, “I wish to God that not only you but all who hear me this day may become what I am, except for these chains.”

Old dog" Paul choose to choose truth and  learn new tricks  while Agrippa as far as we know form this scripture would not. Jesus is calling for all us old dogs to be made new Those who do not know Jesus are called to accept him as savoir. Those who know Jesus as savoir call to a higher commitment and closer walk . Learn new tricks ! The bible says "2 Corinthians 5:17  Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! "
