Christmas should we celebrate?

Christmas should we celebrate?   This not an article aimed at those are grieving, who are broken by the lost of loved ones and missing smiles and laughter of family and friends. There are reasons believers or those who celebrate Christmas in the past choose not to , Emotional and personal or there lives are in danger in the nations or families in which they live.    This is for those who loudly proclaim during this time and season that Christmas is a symbol of the pagan or even idolatry.  Some even claim it may even be Satan worship in disguise. This idea  thou hyperbolic in my opinion, could be partly true if the center and only part, of your celebration  is Santa , elves, the north pole and gifts :to the exclusion of Jesus Christ . If the lack of celebration is for reasons not person...

Speak and to tell them the truth

When a Christian and follower of Jesus presents the gospel and proof to a person. They do not always accept the witness. That person may respond with sincere questions or belligerent questions. The believer may answer stating the truth in the best way they can to that person. However, even if they present the gospel and basic truths like a lawyer in a crime thriller, a great speaker in a political drama or a coach in a sports movie the audience may reject their words. Rejection of their witness and their attempts, good and bad in quality, to share the gospel leaves some Christians perplexed and frustrated. When that happens many believers feel that if I knew more or spoke better the outcome would be different , this is not necessary the truth. There is a larger picture. A fact that seems to be forgotten but scripture bares out and actually warns us about. The majority of people no matter what you say or do will reject the gospel and Jesus. Jesus said " in Matthew 7:13 “Ente...

We have no vineyard or field or seed, 10 but we have lived in tents and have obeyed and done all that Jonadab our father commanded us. 11 But when Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up against the land, we said, ‘Come, and let us go to Jerusalem for fear of th...

Heaven on your mind ?

Heaven on your mind ?  While watching videos online I read on my feed a list of videos. One of the video speaking about why Heaven is not so important! A provocative title. I saw the video headline and moved on not willing to waste my time on, what I think is a foolish proposition.  The reality is many of God's people live theirs lives like that headline is true. We read self help books on spiritual growth, sing songs about earthly victories in Christ , all worthy topics. God  does deserve our praise, the Psalms are filled with songs of praise,  and many of the topics we write, preach and sing about have a place. The problem is forgetting about what Jesus sasy is our first priority. Our prayers many times are filled with requests for our daily bread and not God spiritual "bread".  Moses tells us ...

Never to late

Never to late.    There is and saying in English "‘You Can't Teach an Old Dog New Tricks"  it is  idiom that means it is almsot impossible to get a person set in thier ways due to age, experience, or teaching  change is resisted.
