REMAINING ENCOURAGED IN DISCOURAGING CIRCUMSTANCES”

1 Samuel 30:1-8


Sermon points: 

David and his men wept aloud until they had no strength left to weep. But David found strength in the LORD his God.If you live long enough you discover life can be challenging.  Life can be unfair. Sometimes it seems that people that do not serve God; seem do better than those who serve. Galatians 6:9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. What can cause you to faint ? 

  Jesus warned that bad things will happen in life. Bad things knock the wind out of us. The goal is to stop your forward moment and keep you from having hope that things will get better. 

John 16:33 "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world."

When you feel discouraged pick up the sword(word of God); Discouragement is a dangerous state of mind it leave us open to the enemy of our soul. 

Hebrews 13:5 "Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you."

"Stay encouraged in the LORD" and take back all the enemy has taken. "Focus on God and remember what the Lord has done." Surround yourself with those can encourage you. 

We are to encourage one another in the LORD-Who have you encouraged during this pandemic?  1 Thessalonians 5:11 Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.

"Look beyond the the disaster to God - search his word." If Enemy taken everything in an area of your life - God says you can take it back in the LORD.

1 Corinthians 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

God has power God has never lost a fight and he has never lost a battle.  

Deuteronomy 20:4 For the LORD your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory."

Ephesians 6:10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 

Remember who God is He creator, King of Kings  Alpha and Omega..... ...

  Dear loved and valued one,      I writing this to you in the precious name of Jesus Christ. Jesus who I believe is the blessed Savoir and Son of God. Christmas ?

                                                                   Christmas?   Christmas, Easter the Sabbath day bring disputes over whether they are PAGAN or is it the right day. So earlier in the last few weeks I overheard a conversation between a sister in Christ when she tried to witness to a person. As she was witnessing he asked her "but what about the Sabbath when do you worship" and she admitted on Sunday. The person then said "what about Christmas do you celebrate" and she said "yes" and he immediately began to talk about the fact that sunday was not the sabbath and Christmas is pagan day and we do not know when Jesus was actually born. The message of the Gospel could have been sidetracked as she tried to defend celebrating Christmas and Sundays.
