Question : is it biblical?

  First the song is humorous take on the book titled " the Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. A novel by Robert Louis Stevenson. The novel has but adapted into many movies and TV shows. It is about a scientist who is a proper and law abiding citizen but crates and take a potion that releases his other self filled with fleshly desires many criminal  It is like the HULK, from TV , comics and movies.. He struggles between the 2 personalities one good and the other angry , wild and evil. So is the song biblical? The answer is YES! Every person has a Dr Jekyll but when a person accept Jesus as SAVIOR AND LORD , the dichotomy becomes even worst . now the battle is between a call to a holy Dr Jekyll that must be like Jesus and Mr Hyde.

  The Lord warns us that there are those who appear holy and it is very hard  to  distinguish them from true believers . They may even do more good works than the average Christian. They look to thier works to save them them thinking doing more good works than bad will let them into HEAVEN. God says any of us that do that are  hypocrites like the pharisee Jesus spoke of in  Matthew 23:27 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto white sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness."  

   Some may be not just pretenders but they in it for worldy gain.Titus 1: "10 For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision:11 Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre's sake." 

   Some are just evil false believers or prophets  planted by the enemy to sow discord and evil; Like those false prophets who spoke against Jeremiah. Jesus says in Matthew 13:"24 Another parable He put forth to them, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field; 25 but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way. 26 But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared. 27 So the servants of the owner came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?’ 28 He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ The servants said to him, ‘Do you want us then to go and gather them up?’ 29 But he said, ‘No, lest while you gather up the tares you also uproot the wheat with them. 30 Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.” Judgement day God will separate. 

   All these the hypocrites , pretender , and truly evil will finds themselves facing Jesus and they will be part of the " many" found in Matthew 7:22. Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’ 23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you workers of lawlessness!’ 

  We all sin we all can be Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Christian or Mrs. Christian . The difference is God's true Children must recognize the Dr. Jekyll and crucify him daily. Do not hide Or should I say HYDE  behind the the trappings of works. Gods says in Luke 9:23 - "If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me." and then in 1 John 1:8 "If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."  Do not just use the Bible or Jesus as a mask to hide behind.
