Do not dismiss the miracle of Jesus
Have you ever seen a miracle? How many people would say that they have seen a miracle? Well, most people would say, "No, I have not seen one," and this makes things problematic when talking about God, Jesus, and the Holy Scriptures. Why? Because the Bible is filled with, well, miracles. People, therefore, say, "Well, I have never seen a miracle. They are not part of normal life or a daily part of reality." So, they dismiss miracles and also the Bible and God.
The reality is that this is a very Western and modern viewpoint. Most societies and people throughout history believe and have believed in miracles, spirits, gods, the afterlife, God, and, of course, miracles. Read the Bible. It is about most nations, even Israel, rejecting the "true God," Jehovah, the Creator of all reality and the universe. Most people in the Bible did not reject miracles or the existence of God or gods.
The nations and people groups we read about in the Word of God chose to worship and follow their own gods, most related to their nation and territory. We had the gods of the Egyptians, the gods of Babylon, the gods of the Philistines, and the gods of the many nations in and around Israel. It was not whether miracles could happen or gods existed, but who was the most powerful! Even today, our world is filled with multiple religions: over a billion Hindus, almost 2 billion Muslims, hundreds of millions of Buddhists, and hundreds more, including Christianity.
Flash forward to our modern societies in the West, where atheistic evolution, philosophy, and modernism have also made a god out of humanity. We are taught that gods were created to explain nature and life. This worldview says we now know how things work, so that disproves miracles, the supernatural, gods, and God. The problem is that this thinking is flawed. Why? Because it dismisses every amazing thing in nature, life, and reality.
For example, the incalculable sizes of planets and distances in outer space, the size of the sun, the distances between galaxies, of which there are at least 100,000, with hundreds of thousands of stars. The size of the universe has not even been fully mapped! In addition, there is the miracle of two separate animals or humans that can join and produce a newly formed member of their species, unique but the same. there is also reproduction by cells without procreation! DNA, ecosystems, the fine-tuning of the universe. All miracles now dismissed as boring and normal by the insanely arrogant atheist or agnostic. To say all creation is a giant accident with no empirical proof is "faith"! So, everyday miracles are discounted or explained away as millions of accidents! No, all these things are miracles!!
God has demonstrated daily miracles to announce His continued presence, and in our spirits and conscience, all will be without excuse. The Bible says in Romans 1:"18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, 19 because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. 20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, 21 because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Professing to be wise, they became fools, 23 and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things." And also we have Psalm 19:1 which declares, "The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows His handiwork."
Is this rejection new? No. Most of those who saw Jesus and His miracles and fulfilled prophecy rejected Him! The nation of Israel, despite God's miracles, fell into idolatry and sin. The Word came in the flesh, and we are told in John 1:10, "He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him." Why? Because they did not want to know Him!!! Do not dismiss and reject all the daily miracles from God or the Bible.
Finally, The greatest miracle is from John 3:"16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved."
